Olson battled Erickson, for the 2nd spot, for 7 laps before losing the handle and spinning, in turn 1, to bring out the final caution of the race. As Schuyler showed the way to the checkers, Erickson looked for a way to the front as Chris Koepke made his way to the 3rd spot. From the restart to the checkered flat it was Hoeft at the point, followed by Chris Chenoweth, Mark Joyner, Sweeney and Michelle Heimann.

Ayers claimed the 3rd spot on lap 6 and 2nd on lap 7, closing with Oldenhoff. After a 7 lap battle, Oldenhoff spun out of the lead, ending up in the infield grass, handing the point to Ayers.
