Claims First Feature Win at Jefferson Speedway

Mike Ehde of Prairie Du Chien claimed his first feature win, at Jefferson
Speedway in the “Star Packaging” 50 Late Model feature. Starting from the
pole Ehde grabbed the early lead and never looked back showing the way to
the checkered flag. The race slowed for 3 cautions, for spins on laps 2 and
5 and a crash on lap 22.

Sportsman feature. Riedner went on to win, while Rents would finish 5th.

Pete

Hobby Stock, 25 lap, feature.

feature. Elgas is on his way to the win and Au finished second.

Mark English (#57)
stops in Victory Lane, following his win in the International 20 lap
feature.

As Ehde led the way, Jasper
Gronert stayed close behind, in the 2nd spot as the battles raged behind
them. Moving up through the field were Doug Hahn and Jason Schuler. At the
stripe it was Ehde for the win followed by Gronert, Hahn, Schuler and Roger
Behlke.
In Sportsman action Scott “Chico” Riedner of Waunakee extended his point
lead, with his win in the 30 lap main event. Starting inside row 6 Riedner
headed toward the point as Tom Rents drove to the early lead. As Rents led
the way, Riedner worked his way through traffic, making his way to 5th by
lap 7. Moving to the inside of Luke Padfield, Riedner battled for the 4th
spot as they battled it became a battle for 3rd, as they motored under John
Handeland. Riedner claimed the 3rd spot on lap 12, closing with James Helmer
for the 2nd spot. Motoring past Helmer on lap 14, Riedner moved under Rents,
making his bid for the lead. Pulling ahead on lap 15, it was Riedner showing
the way from there to the finish. At the line it was Riedner for the win,
followed by Jay Kalbus, Mark Deporter, Dave Oswald and Rents.
In International action Mark English of Janesville claimed top honors in the
20 lap feature. Starting 6th, English avoided the lap first lap calamity,
placing him on the outside front row for the 2nd attempt at starting the
race. At the green flag English took the lead, guiding the field to the
checkered flag. At the finish it was English for the win followed by Brandon
Riedner, Mark Joyner, Chris Chenoweth and Scotty Hoeft.
In Hobby Stock action Pete Elgas of Janesville notched the win, in the 25
lap main. Starting from the outside of row 4, Elgas headed toward the point,
as Mike Meyers took the early lead. Elgas made his way through the field,
claiming the top spot from Meyers on lap 6. From there it was Elgas all the
way to the checkers. The race slowed for a single caution, on lap 14, for a
car up in smoke and fluid on the racing surface. At the finish it was Elgas
for the win followed by Ken Au, Meyers, Scott Carson and Tim Lange.
In Bandit action Bobby Selsing Jr. of Fort Atkinson turned an 11th place
start into a feature win, in the 20 lap main event. At the green flag it was
Ryan Granzow to the early lead. Granzow led the way for 12 laps, as Selsing
battled his way through traffic. Claiming the 32d spot by lap 11, Selsing
made the winning pass on lap 13, showing the way from there to the checkers.
As the crossed the line it was Selsing for the win followed by Kyle Watters,
Sean Watters, Rodney Mundt and Steven Scheel.
Rounding out the night's action was the Demo Derby. First place went to
Jeremy Wethal with second place going to Eric Page.
Next week Jefferson Speedway hosts the “Watertown Bowl 50," with a full
racing program highlighted by “Watertown Bowl” 50 lap Late Model feature.
Capping the nights, on track, action, is the Auto Bowling competition among
selected “Favorite Drivers."
Gates open at 3:00, Qualifying at 5:00 and racing at 7:00 sharp.
