Pauly Shafer will lead the charge of Midwest Tour Stars in Jefferson.  Shafer, the 2013 Illiana Motor Speedway (IN) Super Late Model Champion recorded his first and only career Tour win in last year’s Salute the Troops 100.  The young Indiana chauffer just graduated from Valparaiso University last weekend.  Another driver to watch is Andrew Morrissey.  Morrissey was a two-time winner on Tour in 2018, the 2011 Tour Champion collected hardware at State Park Speedway and following Oktoberfest at LaCrosse.

Hot off his win the Icebreaker 100 at Dells Raceway Park, Casey Johnson returns home on Saturday night.  The 3-time Jefferson Speedway Late Model Champion and 4-time Wisconsin State Champion finished second on opening night earlier this month.  The Edgerton native has clicked off three consecutive Wisconsin State Championships at his home-track.  Johnson also captured the 2018 Fox River Racing Club Championship at Wisconsin International in his Dennis Chase owned #47, the same car he will pilot Saturday night.  Not to be overlooked, Dale Nottestad, one of the fiercest weekly competitors in the state will return to the Super Late Model ranks.  Nottestad is the five-time and defending Jefferson Speedway Late Model Champion, he is also a three-time titlist at Madison, where he garnered the 2004 Super Late Model title.

Rich Bickle, Jr has been on a roll, with finishes of third at the Dells Icebreaker and a runner-up effort three weeks ago during the Joe Shear Classic at Madison.  The former NASCAR standout has new found speed to go along with his winner’s determination behind the wheel of his familiar #45.  Bickle was the high bidder on a door off of Dick Trickle’s 67-win Ford Mustang last weekend at the Dick Trickle Memorial statue unveiling.

2018 Wisconsin Challenge Series Champ Ryan Farrell, TUNDRA Runner-Up John Beale, former Big 8 winner and Mid-American Series Champion Rick Corso, Central Wisconsin standout Justin Mondiek, 2018 Tour Rookie of the Year Billy Mohn, World Series of Asphalt (FL) Runner-Up Gabe Sommers, two-time Grundy County Speedway Champion Ricky Baker and John DeAngelis, Jr whom led the most laps at the Joe Shear Classic are all expected entries for Saturday night’s Salute the Troops 100.
